Linda Pounds, LMFT

Linda is currently heading up Colorado EI Coaching & Counseling, LLC a company devoted to the advancement of emotional intelligence in the workplace and in personal relationships through EI skill assessment, coaching and counseling. She is also on the professional staff of Growing Self in Denver, CO, a company offering executive coaching and counseling for couples and individuals seeking to make positive changes in their lives.

During her career with the Colorado State Employee Assistance Program in Denver, CO, Linda created and led the State of Colorado’s Emotional Intelligence Leadership Program, including a staff of 11 coaches. This innovative and successful program offered EI assessment and coaching for leaders across the state of Colorado. Understanding their impact on others as well as improving self awareness, learning to better manage conflict and further develop important relationships at work gave leaders a key advantage in building more effective leadership skills with their teams.

As part of a worldwide group of professionals certified to use the Emotional Social Competency Inventory (ESCI), Linda has helped individuals and leadership teams for over 15 years assess their current levels of EI with an eye on using that information to create meaningful change. Her clients gain invaluable insight through the ESCI process, understanding their true impact on others. Survey feedback is provided by workplace managers, peers, clients, and customers. Linda is skilled in the coordination and delivery of all ESCI services for individuals and groups and creates value for clients through expert interpretation of ESCI feedback along with experienced, competent coaching toward improvements.

You will likely find Linda on a hiking trail somewhere in the world when she’s not at work. Cooking with her family and friends, reading, or tending her backyard beehive also rate high on Linda’s list of great ways to spend time. She highly values community work, and presently is an active member of SPAN’s (Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence) Board of Directors and works with Social Venture Partners in Boulder, CO as a consultant to non-profits.
